The Rebirth of a Neighborhood
Project Details

Edgehill Village is an historic neighborhood near Nashville's Music Row. For a long time the area was fairly run-down and industrial, but it has recently been updated and is now catering itself to the nearby colleges and Music Row business people. A new graphic identity was part of this neighborhood's rennovation, and I was lucky enough to receive the opportunity to complete this task.

The Darkroom is a small music venue in Nashville's Edgehill Village. The venue is a creative place, and there are tons of gig posters along the walls, hanging on clotheslines. This method of displaying posters reminded me of the way photos were hung in old darkrooms and led to the concept for this logo.

Skin Deep
Project Details

This is a self-promotional piece that I created in one of my portfolio preparation classes at Middle Tennessee State University. Focusing on my illustration style, which, at the time, was heavily influenced by tattoo art, I pieced together a booklet which married design nomenclature and the tattoo art subculture. I located an inkjet paper designed specifically for transferring pigments to skin, and applied temporary tattoos to some of my classmates for the photographs featured in the booklet.
